Sometimes we aren’t aware of how our actions can affect the entities that inhabit a location. I recently read a location that has had a lot of turmoil over the last few years, including criminal activity, which has affected the ability of the location to continue to exist.
During the time of stress and struggle, there was a great deal of disharmony and strong factions among the entities inhabiting the location. Some supported some people, others supported others. And the tension was palpable!
Now that the facts are out and the case resolved, there is healing going on amongst the entities. That doesn’t mean that there isn’t divided support or criticism of the actions of the people involved. One entity thinks what happened is great and funny, another thinks how on earth could that have happened, and wants a share! And the children entities are hiding under things a great deal. But, they are healing. There is a sense of humor there now, the factions have dissipated, and though some of the entities will never be buddy buddy with some of the others, there is the beginning of acceptance of each other, who each of the entities are and their place in the location. The tension is fading as is the fear in some of the entities, particularly the children. Over time, this healing among the paranormal entities will also give the living that are in the space a better sense of peace and calm.
Our actions, behavior and emotions – our sense of being and our energy – affect the wellbeing and peace of the entities in a place, just like their presence; their energy and sense of well being affect us. It’s important not only to live in harmony with the living, but also the dead and other paranormal entities that are around us.

The Advantage of Friends From the Other Side
There are many reasons why I am grateful that I allowed my abilities as a psychic to come to the fore and continue to grow. One of those reasons is the nature of the relationships I have made with so many of the usually unseen beings around us. I don’t want to use the term ghost, because that implies a specific image to many. The beings I meet are of many varieties. Mostly they seem to be part of the personality, intellect, consciousness of people that manifested itself in the location during the person’s life. Many are of other, non-human (this does not mean demonic!) nature and forms, and some are visiting souls that come back as tourists, visitors, or to communicate with others here – for a variety of reasons.
By this time, I’ve probably experienced well over a thousand paranormal entities of various forms. At no time have I encountered anything that I would consider to be a trapped soul. Mostly I think the concept of trapped souls comes from our cultural and religious shaping and our individual desire to feel like we can and are helping beings on some vital level. I know many others will disagree with this concept, and I certainly respect their opinions as just as valid as my own. Mine come from my own research, experience and understanding. But I digress for the matter of some clarity... I may address this issue further in a future blog post.
Getting back to my original statement of gratitude, I am very fortunate to have a number of human and paranormal friends in my life. So many of the living human ones have given so much love, support, friendship, joy, and much more to me over the years. But the human friends all have one thing in common. They all have lives (imagine that) other than being at my beck and call. Part of the joy of the living is that life and relationship are fluid, with people’s needs and abilities changing with the circumstances in life. That means that no matter how much I care about a friend, or they care about me and want to give support, it’s impossible for us to always be able to give to the other what they need.
With my paranormal friends, the relationships are a bit different. They don’ have the same state of flux. I think in large part that is because they are here in more limited and singular focused ways. This means that they can be more consistent with me, as I can be more consistent with them. I am more certain of who will be around and who won’t be for different reasons. And as I can visit them remotely, it is easier to find some company at times when the living are busy with family or have the audacity to sleep, while I toss and turn in bed.
In no way do the paranormal entities I spend time with replace the living humans that I love and value so much. But, these “unseen” beings add a richness, support, conversation and understanding that I don’t always get from the living. I’m so very blessed to be able to participate in both worlds!

The Role of Those Whom Have Gone Before….
I’ve just been through the most painful period of my life to
date. This journey though has given me
insight on the assistance and support we can receive from our loved ones after
they leave this existence. I’m not ready
to get into personal details, but want to explore a few ideas with you and
invite your comments here on my blog.
I find that several of my relatives, including a couple that
died long before I was ever thought of, have been around to give comfort and
support. One of them has been often with
me for months, if not longer, and I’m very grateful.
I’ve been seeing now from my own experience that there is a
soul group connection between myself and these beings. It’s more than simply family watching out for
and assisting family. It’s about the
community formed in the timeless existence of our souls with a group of others
we have close relationship to and are part of the same intimate soul community.
We don’t always have the same relationships with these souls
in their incarnated form. And, we aren’t
always incarnated at the same time.
Sometimes, we’re friends, sometimes partners, sometimes parent and
child. Sometimes we were antagonists on
this plane, but not on the one where our true beings reside.
One of the aspects of being psychic I’m so very grateful for
is that I can see, hear and feel these loving beings around me so often. They have helped comfort me in pain, guide me
and reassure me and give me insight and understanding; they seem to be
assisting me in smoothing the patch or opening doors that are part of my
fulfillment of my self.

Wanted - a World Wide Shift to a More Humane Planet
If we don’t have a worldwide shift in consciousness, away from hate, greed, xenophobia, ignorance and judgment, we won’t have a world left to live in; at least not one worth living in. We need a shift focusing on the true values of the universe and creation – humanity, not corporations – equality, not bigotry and prejudice – building people up, not pulling them down – sharing resources, not greed – social and economic justice, not domination – acceptance, not intolerance…. Love and understanding, not hate… so much more – the dead really are often so much easier than the world created by the living.
As people involved with the paranormal, we should be even more aware of the universal connectedness of each and every one of us, and the value we all bring to the world with our gifts, our struggles, our light and our darkness, and our efforts to overcome the setbacks and traumas of life, and learn to be as whole and complete and mature as human beings as we can be. It’s a life long journey.
Feel free to share your thoughts.

Do Residential Hauntings Have More Negative Entities Than Other Locations?
I had a conversation last night with a good friend who is a paranormal investigator. Part of the conversation was the difference she felt doing investigations between homes and other spaces, and why it seemed that the houses had more negative entities than other spaces. I have a few ideas and would like to hear your thoughts.
It could be that residents with homes that have more positive entities don’t call for investigations as often as those with entities that are more frightening.
In my experience, as a general rule entities that are of human origin represent only part of the individual’s persona. They seem to consist of the energy and personality that the individual most exhibited in a specific area. Negative energy or personality traits seem to be deeper and longer lasting than moments of more positive emotions. Perhaps in homes, even ones with lots of happy memories, the negative or darker emotions are more deeply ingrained that the positive ones; whereas so many other venues have more activities that are mostly positive so that there are more positive entities in them.
I also think that entities feed on the energy that the living provides in an environment. It’s possible that residents calling for investigations more often have a tension or other energy that the negative entities feed on.
Most places I’ve been have a mix of negative and positive – or darker and lighter entities. Usually, one form is more dominant than the other. Many simply have the activities of daily life repeating themselves. All of them deserve respect and understanding. We are the intruders in their space!

Psychic Etiquette
For those of you whom are psychic, how do you handle meeting people who mention a location and you immediately “see” the paranormal entities and activity there? I have this happen to me all the time, in –person, on the phone, even email. My natural tendency is to just say what I’m getting if the topic of conversation has to do with the paranormal. But I’m not so sure this is always appropriate! So, I work to judge the situation and determine what is appropriate to bring up and when simply not saying anything is the best approach. What do you do?
For those of you who talk to psychics, what do you desire along these lines? Do you want us to just blurt out what we get, even if the topic of conversation isn’t about the paranormal, or do you want us to keep quiet?

The Ideal Haunting
What is your vision of the ideal haunted location? As an investigator, what would intrigue you the most and draw you to a spot. If you’re a psychic, what attracts you to the work?
I find the locations with entities that want to share their personal stories to be the most fascinating and personally fulfilling. I value the trust the place in me in those occasions.
